![]() Receive the training you need to qualify for high-paying advanced manufacturing careers in the Inland Empire at no cost to you. Located in the newly rebuilt center on the California Steel Industries campus in Fontana, the Industrial Technical Learning Center is designed to provide the hands-on training employers are looking for in the rapidly growing manufacturing industry. If you're 18 years of age or older, unemployed, under employed or just need additional training for the job you're in now, the InTech Center provides certificate programs in the Inland Empire that can give you state and nationally recognized certifications that lead to a good career. Student Spotlight: Jordan SpeerJordan Speer came to us from Barstow Community College and was selected to participated in our 2013 Mechanical Internship program. He started in May of 2013 at $21.45 an hour. Jordan successfully completed the summer internship and was chosen to continue into our "B" Mechanics training program where he trained and continued to advance until he reached the top pay for trainees of $24.34 an hour. On January 3 of this year, Jordan graduated from the "B" program and was promoted to "A" Mechanic in our #1 Galvanizing line. He is currently making $30.10 an hour and with continued performance, will reach the top rate of $33.93 an hour in July of next year.Student Spotlight: Enrique OrtizEnrique Ortiz is another Barstow alumni who was selected to participate in our 2014 Mechanical Internship program. Like Jordan, he was selected to continue on after the summer internship into our "B" mechanics training program. Enrique is approximately six months away from graduating, becoming a fully qualified industrial Maintenance Mechanic. With the successful completion of their training, both Jordan and Enrique will enjoy not just a job, but a career that will provide for them and their families no matter where they may go. And it all started when they enrolled in Barstow Community College's Industrial Maintenance Program. |
